Years of fighting between two superhero groups comes to a sudden halt whenever crime starts increasing to dangerous levels without much explication. While everyone has their grievances about the other group, they all choose to put their differences aside till they can get this crime situation under control.

Basically a Fanfic based on the fractured but whole game but adjusting the plot points to be more realistic for adults who are actual superheroes while adding my own spice.

I am at my best when writing romance, so be aware this is romance with a side of action, not the other way around.

It's 2002 in New York City.
Detective Craig Tucker and his colleague Detective Wendy Testaburger work the Homocide Squad. They've just cracked a major case; and have been asked to investigate a suspicious drug overdose at a coffee shop downtown.
When they link the case to several others which have occurred recently, they unsuspectedly realise they could have a serial killer on their hands.
When motive is lacking and evidence points them in an interesting direction, Craig struggles to profile the suspect.
He's also conflicted when the investigation is compromised by his unreasonable attempts to help and protect the charming and attractive coffee shop owner.
Where will the case lead them? Who is behind all this, and are they just dealing with a bad batch of drugs; or something far greater?

Cartman notices Kenny’s strange increase in money. Kenny’s poor as fuck. Where’s the money from? Who would’ve guessed he was selling his body ‘round to older women… he wasn’t putting the money to any good use, but to drugs. Mostly heroin and weed. Now he was the real cliche loser. Poor. He was always poor but never a junkie. Never indulging in that stereotype until now. Kenny was slowly treading to complete failure with Cartman not offering anything but his stupid mind games and his stupid lips to comfort Kenny’s.
Or,
Cartman finds out Kenny’s a slut so he blackmails his friend for fun. They end up realising they like each other more than they let on. Oh and Kenny is a tweaker for heroin.

South Park was a town where anything could happen. And anything did happen. Perhaps that was why no one batted an eye when Timothy Burch was electrocuted by lightning the summer before his transition into highschool. Weirder things happened in the town on the weekly- weirder things had happened to Timmy himself last month.
Timmy quickly got to work reaching out to a select group of his peers, inviting them to work with him. For some he used their senses of justice, others the promise of fame- and some just wanted the abilities for cool powers. Nevertheless, by the time summer break ended and highschool life had begun, Dr. Timothy had amassed a group of 10 superheros.
They called themselves the Freedom Pals. Dr. Timothy had made a point to keep most of the groups identities secret from each other, giving the heros the choice to reveal themselves. He had inventions to alter the sounds of their voices, and most of Timothy’s creations had the side effect of warping the wearer's perception. In this way, as long as the Freedom Pals were using his inventions, they wouldn’t be able to draw the obvious connections as to who their teammates might be in the civilian world.
