Ah, Senkuu thinks then, I guess Tsukasa and Gen aren’t dating.
He considers his response, as well as this new piece of information.
He goes for the honest answer: “Die. Because you have a bit of peanut sauce on your lips from dinner, and I’m allergic to that shit. It’d cause quite the scandal if you murdered some poor, innocent high school student.”
Gen licks his lips. "Noted."
In which it's 2019 AD, and lately, strangers have been smiling at Senkuu as if he’s an old friend. Alternatively—three thousand and seven hundred years’ worth of memories in the span of eight months.

It's Gen who asks. They're in the observatory, sitting close, Gen's head resting on Senku's shoulder, their joined hands laying in his lap. It's so comfortable that Senku had been about to fall asleep until Gen's quiet voice had broken the silence.
He doesn't look up towards the sky. Instead, he looks down at Gen, adjust his hold on his hand, links their fingers together.
"Do you think we need to?", he asks back.
Gen let's out a breathless laugh. "Probably not".

Summary
Sunny never really understood the true feeling of the word ‘ache’.
At first, he thought it meant a pain that follows you around, shadowing you wherever you go. Mari’s death to him was an ache, a ghost that haunted every facet of his life, lurking in every dark corner whenever he turned around. The dictionary definition certainly backed that up, “a continuous or prolonged dull pain in a part of one's body.”
But perhaps not. Whenever he read books or comics, it was never used in that way.
See, the dictionary definition of ache spoke of pain. But, in the stories he read, it was always about longing. A pang of emptiness in your heart for someone who won’t turn around and look behind them to see you, standing there, waiting for them. Of yearning, hoping for someone you’d never have.
(Or: Sunny isn't forgiven. He attempts to move on regardless.)

The Watchers tell him stories, tell him what the other members of Evo get up to now that he’s gone. He smiles when he hears about them, but he can’t remember things for too long. At least, he can’t remember new things. He remembers old things, at least.
He doesn’t want to forget his friends.
