The Fount of Knowledge is the last Virtue standing - the last beacon of hope in a world falling to ruin. The only hope is the Beast Sealing Spell, yet it requires five - a fail safe, in case they corrupted. Something about these lands calls to him. Bringing his dear little friends, Gingerbrave, Wizard cookie and Strawberry cookie on an airship, he travels to the dangerous continent.
However, it seems they're far too late to something extremely deadly.

Test tube, right before a summer vacation with her friends, stumbles upon an accident outside of the elevator and it turns out that Trophy's gotten his wrist broken-- and is stuck with the Flu, unluckily enough.
Since majority of the hotel will be absent, on their own travels-- Test tube decides on the most unlikely person to keep an eye on him so he won't get himself into further trouble. That person happens to be Mephone, who doesn't even want to be there in the first place.

“You— You know the Secret Keeper voices? When you succeed your task?” Scar asks, the words practically bursting out of him, propelled by the pressure of being kept at bay for so long.
Martyn’s eyes narrow just slightly, his gaze flickering to the Secret Keeper and then back. “Yeah, I’ve heard ‘em. We all have, far as I can tell.”
Scar nods and swallows, pasting on a shaky grin. “I hear them all the time.”

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Grian is a vet. After a chance encounter in the dead of night, during which he accidentally saves a villain from the brink of death, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a world beyond anything he could've ever imagined.

“How do I know?” The kid spits, knife raised again, trembling violently. His eyes are wet, angry and pleading and piercing right down into Grian’s soul.
“...If I can fly?” Grian asks, confused. His heart is beating fast.
The boy shakes his head violently, taking a lurching step forward, now only a few feet away. Something about his eyes almost seems familiar, but the thought is fleeting. The knife looks sharp. The child is crying, slow tears that barely have an effect on his voice.
“No,” the kid says forcefully. “How do I know you’re not a zombie?”

A young Scar fresh from a world overtaken by zombies stumbles through The Rift onto Hermitcraft, and is quickly adopted by the rest of the Hermits, who have no idea who he actually is.
An older Scar grapples with a past that he'd rather forget, all while trying to avoid the version of himself he left behind a long time ago. -

The day after Scar breaks up with Grian, the dead come back to life. Knowing that venturing out alone is a death sentence, the sudden onset of the apocalypse forces them to stick together despite the tensions between them. In the wreckage of the world, they're forced to survive side-by-side, coming to terms with the fact that—try as they might—there's no one they trust more than each other.
“Go!” Grian shouts as the monster charges, putting his whole force into the blow.
Scar watches, frozen stiff as Grian fights until blood and gore and viscera mark the creature up like a Pollock painting.
“What are you waiting for?!” Grian snaps when he finally notices that Scar is still standing there. He grips his weapon tight and attacks a final time, slamming the zombie down—good and dead—and standing panting over top of it, strained but victorious. He starts rushing from the scene, calling back for Scar over his shoulder. “Run!”
And in a way that’s as familiar to him as breathing, Scar chases after him.

A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.
With one sweep of his cane, Shadow Milk tears it apart.

“Please, Shadow Milk, allow me to be your friend. It doesn’t have to end this way.”
Shadow Milk's face was bewildered, and an almost vulnerable shine glossed over the jester's mismatched eyes. He opened his mouth, but no words fell off his tongue. Pure Vanilla could see how Shadow Milk’s chest started to heave, holding onto his staff like a lifeline. All he wanted to do at the moment was comfort him, but he knew he knew Shadow Milk would only lash out more. Pure Vanilla had to wait—any force would only be met with twice the resistance.
Suddenly, The room darkened, black bleeding into the corners while red crept along the walls like a living thing, thick and watching. Every wall had inky black hands crawling over its surface, leaving smears of darkness. Ripping themselves from the walls, they suddenly lunged forward in a frenzy of grasping limbs and grabbed tightly at his legs.

Now powerless Shadow Milk is trapped with Pure Vanilla. Weakened, he must find a way to rely on Pure Vanilla as they find their way out of this labyrinth and uncover mysteries. That doesn't mean Shadow Milk will make it easy on him, no, he has to be dragged kicking and screaming.- Language:
