Summary
Just a rough draft of a story I'm working on.
Kieran O'Neil is your average grad student, working on his astronomy thesis and enjoying life with his wife, Stephanie. He is pleasantly surprised when he finds out his four best friends, who live on the other side of the country, are coming to visit for a while.
But things are not as they seem.
Kieran learns that magic is real, and his friends and wife are members of the supernatural world. He also finds out that he is somehow involved in a major event that is coming to the world. The Fae, long banished from Earth, are returning, and their coming is already affecting the planet. And Kieran may be the only one able to stop them.

Summary
In the year 2202, Earth was destroyed by an interdimensional monster known as Salem. The remnants of humanity fled to a new system through a mysterious spacetime anomaly, and must face its bloodthirsty megafauna and the looming threat of Salem's return.
Yang Xiao Long and her sister Ruby Rose are leaving the shattered moon Patch for the first time. They've been accepted at Beacon Academy, a space station tethered above Vale where the system's brightest learn to fight monsters and pilot spaceships. Spaceflight might require a good sense for physics, but plugging yourself into the ship and casting your Semblance across the entire thing seems to come naturally.
Blake Belladonna, meanwhile, has just escaped a faction of space pirates lead by her now ex-boyfriend. She's found her way to Beacon Academy, and she's hoping for the best but expects the worst. It's terrifying how quickly she's getting attached to her new partner, but she has to hope this won't all end in disaster.
