His head tilts to the other side, which makes his neck protest in annoyance at being made to work – and he finds Nikolai there, staring down at him with the same blank look he’s always got. It’s not the least bit reassuring, and he groans, turning back the other way – this earns him an almost amused huff of breath from the Russian. His tone is flat, heavily accented – MacTavish can hear the smile in his voice, irritating and grating as it always is.
“Good morning, sergeant. Welcome back to the land of the living.”

Summary
Lying on his forearm, cheek flushed where it was stuck to his skin, is John MacTavish. Curled up like a cat and far too comfortable, a touch past warm, lips parted around a breath, he looks awfully content with himself, asleep like he was dead. It makes Gaz’s eyes widen a bit, and he isn’t quite sure how long he sits there, watching the flickering of gold on his skin.

Price snaps his fingers, directly in front of his face, and it makes him flinch just a little, before blinking blearily up at him, confused. It confuses him even more when the captain doesn’t even say anything, doesn’t provide any context for why he jerked him out of his thoughts so abruptly. “Want a drink?”
MacTavish nods, and Price pushes a glass into his hands, warm against his palms. “Look like you’re miles away, Johnny.” Price sinks back into his chair properly, and MacTavish smiles. “Didn’t hear a word I said, huh?”
“Sorry, sir,” he replies softly, raising his glass to his lips. It’s something he doesn’t quite recognize, but it’s smooth, just the same as those damn cigars he smokes. “Repeat that?”

john price comes back from the dead, and mactavish finds himself thinking about the 22nd regiment, and the new team he's started calling family ; or, i make john "soap" mactavish sickeningly sentimental, because i can.

“How’s your hand?”
Wolfwood gestures to her hand but doesn’t take it until she offers it to him. Her knuckles are a little red and her wrist’s a little swollen.
“Mr. Vash has a very hard jaw,” Milly says, laughing nervously.
“Yeah, hard head too,” Wolfwood replies. “Too stubborn to let anyone know what he’s plannin’. Next time you throw a punch, keep your wrist straight, in line with your hand, like a piston, it will hurt less.”
He doubts it’d been her first punch and doubts it’ll be her last, but maybe the next one will be a little less damaging for her and a little more damaging for whoever finds themselves on the other end of Milly Thompson’s fist.

Wolfwood and Milly have a chat before he leaves the caravan and Milly gives Wolfwood some incentive to cross paths with them again.
