Summary
Dean Winchester fixes things. Keeps his head down. Follows orders, mostly. Doesn’t ask questions. He can’t afford to, not with a father watching his every move, a brother he’s desperate to protect, and a past sealed behind a NDA.
So when a repair job sends him to a brothel on the edge of town, he tells himself it’s just work. Just another job.
But the android he’s sent to fix doesn’t behave like the others. It looks at him too long. Hesitates before it speaks. And when it touches him, Dean forgets that machines aren’t supposed to feel.
He knows better than to get involved. He does it anyway.
Now he’s tangled in something bigger. He’ll have to decide if being human is about what you’re made of or the choices you make.

Everyone Dean knows keeps telling him that he should just save up for a sex android. Dean can't bring himself to actually save up that much. All his money goes to either bills or whiskey and smokes. Everything in Dean's life changes when he finds a damaged android in the rain while walking home from the bar one night.
This fic is inspired by the game Detroit: Become Human and the anime Chobits. Though you don't need to have seen Chobits or played Detroit: Become Human to enjoy this fanfic.

Story A: Strict Machine
The C45T1EL is lethal and in breach of the American Androids Act merely by existing but it saves Detective Dean Winchester's life during a critical mission. If Dean can prove Cas has domestic applications, he gets to stay activated. So Cas downloads the sexual companionship and domestic duties protocols as a matter of course. Now it is like having a tank do his dishes and an atomic bomb in his bed but Dean is determined to save Cas back.
Story B: Divine Deviancy
Gavin Reed had traded his soul to stop Lucifer from rising and ended up burning in Hell for 40 years for his trouble. He's pissed when he finds himself top side again with some Seraphim Angel tailing his ass. Reed calls him RK900 short for Righteous Killjoy (‘formerly in charge of 900 angels’). RK is trying to feed Reed some line about stopping the apocalypse. But Reed's never heard of a hunter and an angel teaming up together, it sounded damned embarrassing. Fuck angels anyway, Reed never did like them.-

I love you . He doesn't know how to say it. He has already said it, so how can he explain how it twists through him? It chokes with weeds at times, rushes with rapids at others. His love is always clumsy. When he offers himself, it is with an apology. I love you. I tried not to. I'm sorry. He likes to kiss down the long path of Castiel's reflective body, worshipping at the altar of his hips, his thighs, the dusting of synthetic hair. He wonders what makes Castiel up inside. There cannot be bones but perhaps there is a skeleton fashioned out of metal. Perhaps oil runs through his systems like blood. The android squinted its eyes, uncomprehending. The android took a step forward, straightening itself, "My instructions stipulate that I am to assist you in the case."
"I don't need any assistance. Specially from a plastic asshole like you."
