They are not invincible, however. Occasionally, after a dozen bloody days of battling darkspawn, after grueling hours toiling over the wartable, the Commander needs a break. During times like these, the Hero of Ferelden is known to slip a stack of tightly-bound letters from their pack, reading them until they regain the motivation to return to their duties.

    These letters are rumored to be from a mysterious Antivan lover, who misses his Warden very much.

    Zevran uses this miscommunication to his advantage. He cares deeply for the Warden, that much is clear. He's just not quite ready to admit it to them yet. So in the meantime, he uses his Antivan as an outlet for his confessions.

    Kirkwall had a general smell, usually of salt and dirt, and each part of Kirkwall had its own smell on top of that. Lowtown smelled bad, but outside with the sky above it was tolerable. Inside The Hanged Man was nearly unbearable.

    Her nose wrinkled on instinct and she tried to take a step back, bumping into Varric as she did so.

    He had the audacity to laugh at her and place a comforting hand on her shoulder. “You get used to it.”

    “I really don’t think that’s true.”

    Wanting a place to shit that didn’t require her to throw it out the window after and wanting an establishment to smell like something other than urine was apparently asking too much in Thedas. Avis was bougie as hell in Thedas, back on Earth she wasn't even close.

    我对Veilguard极其失望。在一言难尽的失望原因之中，Veilguard的lore表现水平和codex写作方向给我带来的失望夹杂着最多的滑稽色彩。
    如果说前几作里铺垫好的北塞各国风貌初始设定、续作主干情节和矛盾走向、以及关键角色刻画延续性的彻底丧失是我锥心痛恨的主要来源，而Veilguard对北塞各国看似全覆盖实则打卡敷衍的刻画则令我发笑。故事聚焦在了北塞达斯，但对北塞达斯各国的政治、地理、民情、社会面貌等等方面的具体介绍却乏善可陈——就拿塔文特举例子吧。谁敢相信呢，主角都在塔文特皇国首都逛街了，（尤其是精灵主角）都喊得出for minrathous了，都能莫名其妙地钦定大执政官了，游戏给出的有关皇国安教会、皇国体制运作细节、皇国地理文化概况、皇国世情面貌之类的信息却依然无限接近于零；塔文特皇国安教会的体系是什么样的，有没有特色职位？皇国法环和皇国安教会之间的关系是怎样的，Laetan法师在理想情况下会如何升迁？法师的人口比例是多少，有没有成建制的法师作战部队？哈哈，竟然什么都没有！
    Veilguard在对应领域的写作质量简直烂到了一个 我 上 我 也 行 的地步。因此，我将毫无愧怍地直接编新Lore，而对于Veilguard吃的那些书和用核弹暴力“填平”的那些坑，我也将毫无愧怍地直接扔了重写。
