We all knew this moment would come.

Summary
Anathematized after a poor interaction with time-traveling aliens, Lance finds he has the ability to rewind time. Despite its limitations, Lance uses the power to the team’s advantage, both in war and to mess with his friends.
Then he realizes he can confess his feelings to Keith with impunity.
There’s only one problem: the parting words of the aliens who cursed him. His death is prophesied, and not even they know the details of his future. So Lance decides to make the best of what little time he has left.
If that means he spends every waking moment showing Keith his love, before reverting time over and over again so Keith won’t remember it, then so be it. Even if that means he’ll die without Keith knowing how he feels.
Except, there’s one contingency Lance didn’t consider…

“We’re not bending over backwards, we’re just helping,” Keith responds, taking a bite of his food, not looking at Lance. “And we’re not trusting them either.”
Lance glares at him. “Oh, I’m sorry. Am I being mean to your boyfriend?”
Keith chokes on his food, face reddening, and Shiro whacks on his back to help Keith. “What?” Keith yelps.
“Your bounty hunter boyfriend, that’s what. You were lecturing me about Nyma before we knew they were gonna steal our lions, but now you and Rolo are suddenly chummy.”

"I don’t care what Hunk said," Keith interrupted, his voice sharper this time. "You don’t owe anyone an explanation. If you want to be with Allura, go for it. But make sure it’s because you want to, not because you think you should. If Allura asks you out, just say yes or no. You don’t owe anyone anything when it comes to your feelings."
Lance looked up at Keith, his blue eyes searching for something in his face. Keith’s heart gave an unexpected jolt, but he didn’t let it show. Instead, he slowly rested his head against Lance’s, both of them turning their attention to the sunset as it deepened in color. Keith couldn’t hold Lance’s gaze for too long.
"Okay," Lance murmured, shifting to get more comfortable against Keith.
Lance stared out at the horizon. "Everything’s so beautiful out here."
“It is,” Keith agreed, his voice quieter now.
(What if Lance had froze and couldn’t ask Allura out on a date in Season 8, Episode 1? This is my take on fixing Voltron and writing what I believe should have happened.)

He is so very much in over his head. He wants his dad. He wants Shiro. But he’s pretty sure both of them are dead by now, and he has no one to rely on but himself.
That’s okay, though. Matt is determined to survive, and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep this baby safe. He’s got a whole universe to discover along the way. And maybe, if he’s really lucky, he might just find happiness too.

Letting out a low laugh, he turns his attention toward the blue paladin still out cold next to Shiro. “Let’s see what we have here… Oh! You have breeder has a paladin!” Laughing like he just heard the best jokes in the universe, Sendak takes a hold of Lance chest plate. “How desperate are you to have a breeder in your team!”
In a universe where Galra call the ones able to carry kids breeder and keep them in breeding centers to keep the population up. Lance isn't human and while trying to help the universe, he needs to deal with is feelings for Keith and not let himself be taken by the Galra to be used as a baby machine.

“...does this weird you out at all?” Lance gestured to his belly. Mouth full of food, Keith swallowed and took a moment to think about what he wanted to say as he sipped his water. He wasn't great with words, but wanted to be honest with his roommate.
“Seahorses.”
“Excuse me?” Lance blinked, confused as to how his predicament was cause for bringing up the marine animal.
“You know how they reproduce, yeah?”
“Of course, everyone does. That still doesn-” That's when it clicked, but Keith explained anyway.
“The males are the ones that have the babies. But that doesn't make them female, or even less male in general.” He went to take another huge bite of his food, but not before Lance caught the small, genuine smile on Keith's face. The Cuban smiled back, though a bit wider, as he realized he would be okay with Keith.

It’s kinda creepy that the graph Hunk made of Voltron’s emission spectrum looks exactly like the outcropping of rock Keith found of the cave systems near them.
The feeling of absolute certainty in Lance’s chest that that is the place they're looking for is far worse.

And all he could see was bright yellow like the sun (not the kind that stung your eyes in the morning as you drove to school, but like that happy watercolor paint that you'd stick your fingers in as a kid and drag the color over the walls until the world wasn't so grey) and ocean blue (like the clear shallows he played in as a child in Varadero, not the dark blue waters where he'd go swimming at night with some lover that meant nothing to him now, but heartbreak) and piercing violet (the kind that reflected only in the clearest of starry nights and only in the most beautiful and colorful of galaxies that he'd obsessed over as a child) and beautifully intense red (not like blood, or even the fire that reflected in Keith's eyes, but like autumn leaves and like strawberries picked fresh and sweet), swirling through the air like water paint on a canvas. It was beautiful, it was everything, and Lance wanted so bad for the colors to bleed into him, to be his, to be him. (Maybe it's in the colors where I'll meet my lover)

The Castle of Lions isn't how Allura and Coran remember it. Everyone knows it. They won't stop telling the paladins to be careful around it, to be constantly on their guard. Nothing seems to be wrong with it, as far as the non-Altean parts of the crew can tell, and everyone forgets about it easily when someone starts asking it about emotions. And also cooking. Messages are sent, secrets are discovered, and help is freely given through the computer by some unknown benefactor. Who is it? Who figured out how to manipulate the software like this, and why are they doing it in the first place?
