“There’s no way anyone would actually go down into a basement that looked like that. Even if my daughter was missing, I’d have to nope the fuck outta that one.” Lance says it conversationally, like he’s totally casual with the eerie scene playing out on the screen. But Keith has been watching him out of the corner of his eye for a while now, finding a secret sort-of solace in the fact that even Lance is sitting on the edge of the couch, biting his lip raw with anxiety for the next plot twist of the movie. It’s a beautiful kind of irony.
“I would. Ghosts aren’t real.”
“I’m literally sitting right here.” Lance counters, but there’s no real bite behind the words. Keith shrugs his shoulders, tossing another handful of popcorn into his mouth.
“Horror movie ghosts aren’t real.”
“You don’t know that.”

That neither of them are stuck in this little technological hermit cave and are back at the garrison or the Castle of Lions Lance described to him or a fucking hotel room on Earth, just not here doing this. Whatever this is. He pretends that they’re two, normal, alive people, just cuddling together for- because-

Oh, that’s not fucking funny. That is so not funny.
Because he whispers into Lance’s hair, tell me about your family, and Lance starts talking again, and he feels that boulder of utter anguish trying to kill him. And maybe Lance doesn’t notice or does but doesn’t mention it or Matt has gotten really good at this pretending thing all of a sudden, but while Lance talks about something his older brother did, Matt mourns the loss of his life again. It doesn’t help when he realizes they’ve technically never met, Matt’s just met his ghost. How did he manage to fall in love with a ghost?

But what happens when a ghost appears who does not seem to have a corpse. How come, he is yet to be missed? More so, since the ghost in Question Claims to be unaware of his corpse´s whereabouts?
