Merlin looked terrified, backed against the wall with two blades already embedded in the space above his head and to the left of his ear. Three guesses for where the next one was headed.
A boiling rage flooded Gwaine’s chest, the anger gathering into a tight ball ready to be hurled in the knights’ direction. Who did they think they were? Threatening innocent people for the fun of it. Their maddening grins and hollow jeers made him sick, thinking themselves safe from repercussions all because of the family they were born into. Because of the title they held.

Break the Cutie - aka: When a sweet and loveable character, who you adore and root for, is slowly tormented in front of your very eyes. And well, Merlin is awfully cute after all... :)
Long story short, I’ve set myself a little challenge to write a fic for every single episode of Merlin. 65 episodes means 65 opportunities to hurt my favourite character because who doesn't love some good ol' whumpy angst! (I’m definitely going to regret this decision but I’m determined to complete them all.)

They knew that Lancelot’s village had burned down and always dreamed of becoming a knight, they knew everything about Elyan given that he was raised in Camelot, they knew that Percival was raised in Cenred’s kingdom until his village was slaughtered, and they knew that Gwaine had… was… Well they still didn’t know much about Gwaine.
They knew that Gwaine had been to almost every tavern in the lands, had a sister, and had traveled to the Perilous Lands at least once, maybe twice? Gwaine’s past was a mystery to all of them, even to Merlin, as much as he would rather not admit it. After returning from a patrol, they meet a woman who claimed to be Gwaine’s sister. If she was Gwaine’s sister though, why did he have no idea who she was?

Summary
All across Camelot, graves are being robbed, and the spirits of the dead are wandering where they shouldn't be. Arthur and the knights try to get to the bottom of what's going on. But just as they start to get an idea as to what is going on, Gwaine goes missing. Did he get lost? Or are there some dark forces at play?
(Just a note: This might be a little on the darker side, there's some scenes involving knives being used in rituals, nothing satanic, but there is gonna be some blood/gore factor)

Gwaine didn’t know the word shame. What was he supposed to be ashamed of? His little drinking problem (how Arthur calls it, thank him very much)? The problem started when Gwaine wasn’t drinking. The recklessness? Gods, look at poor king Uther. The man had spent his life making plans for his kingdom and looking for conspiracies everywhere and yet he died because of one. And Gwaine was the one to pat Arthur’s arm during his funeral. Maybe, what? His ancestry? Well- here things become a little complicated.
