Lucifer and Alastor had slowly started to build up their relationship until Lilith came and destroyed it all. She had made sure that Alastor suffered under not only Lucifer's, but the whole Hazbin Crew's hand.
Lucifer would love to put all the blame on Lilith but the fact is, that he and the other's were at fault as well. Now Alastor is hiding, hurt and tired in a far away realm, trying to leave the past behind him and finally heal.
And Lucifer? Well he sure as hell will try everything in his power to make it up to Alastor again. If he has to tear up Heaven itself he would do it without a second thought. His heart is yearning for Alastor's love, his closeness, his presence. He needs him like he needs to breathe the air and if he could bath in Alastor's glorious light for just one more second, he would gladly take it and die in piece.

Set after the events of Season 1 - the difference is that the Extermination was sped up because Charlie was advocating to end it entirely, and had pissed off Adam in the process, rather than because she was attempting to rehabilitate Sinners as angels.Charlie runs a more normal hotel that is split between richer guests (elite demons) and special rooms to house Sinners or demons that are endangered / trying to better themselves but can't afford a place to live. She is helped by Vaggie, Angel, Husk, Niffty, Alastor and Lucifer (part-time).
The works in this series focus more on their interpersonal relationships and problems they face normally, mainly from either Charlie or Alastor/Lucifer's perspectives.Again, I stress: I don't write according to canon.

Summary
Shortly after the battle against Adam, Lucifer discovers the deal Charlie made with Alastor. He confronts Alastor, but Alastor refuses to remove the deal. Instead, he offers to transfer Charlie's obligations to Lucifer instead. Unwilling to allow Charlie to be trapped in a deal with the Radio Demon, Lucifer agrees, taking on his daughters deal. The favor Alastor wants? Protection. Lucifer figures it will be simple enough, but as Alastor and the king navigate the constraints of the deal, the realm around them falls under threat and they learn that they might just have to work together beyond the ties that bind them. I notice that when Valentino showed AngelDusk his contract it was more reddish/orange at the beginning and more yellow where Angel’s name was signed. It probably just shows how much power Valentino has over Angel as Val’s soul/power is shown to be red in the songs “Addict” and “Poison.”
However, I want Angel Dust safe from Valentino, so this is my interpretation of that scene.
**************OR – Charlie wants Angel Dust safe from Valentino and ask her father for help. So Lucifer summons the overlords for a meeting. A millennium old pact is fulfilled; Two of the Sins interrupt; and some secrets or forgotten knowledge is revealed, including why there seemed to be children in Hell, which I struggled to understand.
