Summary
The other members of the Chain typically hated night watch. Sacrificed sleep, even if it meant keeping them safe. A criminally necessary action as Sky had once deemed it. Wild liked it, it meant he could sass and insult Oracle freely without interruption. The only thing holding him back from taking watch every night is the fact that Time does not accept the idea of not needing sleep after a hundred year nap. Neither does Oracle, but he’s much more fun about it.

“Aren’t you supposed to be asleep?” Legend whispers, sitting on the log next to Sky with a wince that he’s sure Sky doesn’t miss. Goddesses, his joints ache tonight.
Sky shrugs. He’s fiddling with something, and Legend’s ear twitches at the soft shhhhk of a knife on wood. Sky’s carving.
“Fair enough. I can take over, if you want.”
“Bad dreams?” Sky whispers back, an odd note in his voice. When Legend glances over at him, there’s a knowing look on his face. Knowing and pained. Legend realizes that if their resident sleepyhead isn’t going to bed, he has a damn good reason for it.
“… Yeah,” Legend replies quietly, and doesn’t elaborate.
Or: Legend and Sky talk about dreams. And Hylia. And loving people.
