Maybe he was right, because everyone he let into his life eventually betrayed him or made him feel like he was the villain. (And if he was the villain, so be it. He won’t give up his ideals just for a bunch of commoners to tell him that he’s amazing for a few years. He’s an amazing warrior, renowned across servers, he doesn’t care.) It doesn’t matter, because it never did. He had his group of co-workers if anything, perhaps they thought of him as a friend but he was smarter than that.

Some characters may turn up sooner than expected some characters might go missing before their key plot points can happen, one character will suffer above all else and one young teen will have far too much work to do. TL:DR there's a reason Dream doesn't let anyone enter the end.

The Egg is expanding its control on the server but it knows to truly have control it will have to have control of the stubborn admin who created it. But Dream was annoyingly out of its reach and had been largely unresponsive to its presence that was until his mind started to crack apart at the hands of a Dreamon and the Egg started to see an opening which led to it making a choice that would change the course of the server. It wanted Dream and by its ancient ancestors it would have him. But the idiot Dreamon takes it too far and gets their perfect host thrown into Pandora's vault to rot along with seemingly being exorcized and banished back to its realm by the shattered admin. Which just wouldn't do so the egg sends some of it's puppets to go collect it's perfect host.

Summary
At day, Tommy is a café worker. He lives with his two best friends across from three other friends in a dubious apartment. He makes barely enough to pay rent. He befriended a regular that also happens to a soon retiring hero. He's a totally-absolutely-not-a-doubt legal adult.
But at night, Theseus is a feared-by-all-criminals vigilante with 'shiny white' wings and the ability to control electricity to a scary extent. A justice-bringer and crime-fighter to, what he believes, is a farther extent than heros. A member in MSAS.
Until the fight happens, throwing his 'at day' life for a loop and subsequently his 'at night' life too. Now the social media worker for the SBI, a popular hero group, Tommy struggles to keep his second life hidden and only focus on his task of acquiring information on how the heroes work. (He always gets attached too soon.)

A step forwards.

Another step, mirrored by the boy, who took a step back.
"They could be the worst humans on earth,"
One final step had the two a foot apart, the younger tilting his head up slightly from where he was backed up to look at the man.
Techno smiled bitterly at the boy.
"But, we will always be the monsters to them."
A damning silence.
"You'd do well to remember that."

Tommy lived in a place where people with magic are seen as scum - which probably wasn't great seeing as he had magic - but he was used to it! He just wished it didn't hurt as much when it came from his only family.
Techno was content living by himself. Sure, it got a little lonely sometimes - when he couldn't keep his voices in check, or when the memories he tried so hard to forget kept surfacing, but he's fine.
