Summary
It is Yuletide in Camelot. On the eve before Yule, Arthur and Merlin profess their love. Then Arthur finds out about Merlin's magic and his years of deception. He is hurt and angry until the spirits of Yuletide come to him and show him the full truth about Merlin. There is some angst along the way, but an eventual happy ending makes for a satisfying holiday story. This tale is, of course, inspired by Dickens' timeless Christmas story: "A Christmas Carol."
This is a slightly expanded and freshly edited version of a work I posted a while back.

Though thought a gift at first, he quickly realises how bereft and detatched the invulnerability truly makes him feel. Even being a god has left him entirely unprepared to deal with the fall-out, and he finds himself quickly spiralling into madness.
