Ajax didn’t know how long he had kneeled there, patiently waiting for anything to happen. He wanted to be good but he ached for anything. He whined around the gag when he felt Wriothesley remove his hand.
“Ajax” Diluc called out but he was too focused on the loss of contact.
“Puppy” Diluc reached out and brushed his hand along Ajax’s jaw. He looked up at Diluc who had an amused expression on his face. An expression that he knew meant Diluc had something planned. An amused Diluc was never a good thing.

“I'm leaving soon, like in the morning soon…” The Harbinger finally confesses carefully, looking absolutely defeated as well as unsure of how Diluc will take this announcement, searching his face for an answer.
“Figures…”
Is all Diluc can think of as a reply. He knew. Nothing new really but he can’t help the dread that’s been pooling in his stomach for the past few hours, coming at him full force right now. Nothing shows on the outside though because he knew what he was getting himself into when they first kissed in Morespok. With every day closer to goodbye the impossible tightness in his chest only grows, his stomach in knots as a result of his ever growing anxiety that worsens with each visit. It’s ridiculous, overreacting. So he swallows down the lump in his throat, blinks once then twice and looks up at Childe.

It all started after Diluc had gotten hit in the head with a Hydro attack from an Abyss Lector. The next morning, his head was killing him, so he thought he possibly had a concussion, but then something weird happened.
"Diluc, can you come here for a moment?" Adelinde called, and he hummed, walking out of his room.
"Yes, Addie? Did you need need something?" Diluc said, looking over the railing. Adelinde walked out of the kitchen and looked up at him.
"I didn't say anything, Master Diluc," She said before returning to the kitchen. Diluc narrowed his eyes before stepping back into his room.
