Jayce edges closer to the barrier.
“No, not - Not technically.” He considers for a moment, and only a moment, what he should reveal. But if the parts of him that remember are insisting he put his faith in Victor, there must be good reason for it.
“I didn’t - don’t, remember you, but I know you. I can feel it.”
“How can you-”
“And I trust you, Viktor. Something tells me I’m allowed to do that.”

After everyone gets out of Medical after Pitfall, Herc goads Chuck into spending time with Raleigh, who basically doesn't have anyone else. Mako's busy putting the entire UN into a headlock and bending them to her will, so Chuck grudgingly gives in.
Things. Go. Awry.
This one starts out pretty rough, but it's surprisingly fluffy, in its way. And, as always, has a happy ending. Because these people deserve happy endings, dammit.

Hermann felt an emptiness that he’d never felt before. It felt as if a huge part of his mind had abruptly been torn away, leaving only blackness. He tore the squid-cap off with a groan, clamping his hands against the sides of his head. Pentecost was shaking Newt’s shoulders, trying to revive him, but he was gone.
