The Nightwing/Tempest slash series that ate my life for a couple of years. The entire project is in the process of being imported to the AO3, including all the many gracious authors' contributions and fanart. The fics posted as here are set in series-chronological order up to roughly "The One Where Donna Asks a Question"; the rest are timeline-agnostic.
The Birds And The Bats subseries: stories set in the Sea & Sky 'verse involving Black Canary, Oracle, Batgirl, Robin, Superboy, Green Arrow, and/or other DCU characters, generally unrelated to the main S&S storyline.
This series was nominated in the CFAN 2001 Comic Book Fan-Fiction Awards for Best Team Story/Series of 2000.

The victims all blank-faced and silent, as though accepting their fate and simply willing it to be over faster. It had surprised her the first couple of days here. Then she realized… Gotham made sound because the city expected someone to save it. Bludhaven was silent because it knew no one ever would.'
Nightwing has finally settled into a city of her own and is focused on becoming Bludhaven's newest protector.
Without the watchful eye of Batman over her shoulder, and with BPD actively against her, Rachel finds herself struggling to save a city that has no interest in being saved. As well as under the cross-hairs of a mysterious new villain, only known as Blockbuster.
