“Right. True. Anyways, you’re closer to death than me,” Dani says, pointing her finger at Manon. Manon looks at her, affronted.
“Dani, what the hell,” she says, but she’s laughing and then they’re both laughing, and Dani is so, so happy. She pushes her body into Manon, suddenly, draping herself on top of her, and Manon kind of lets out a surprised little grunt, but holds her.
“Thank you for tonight,” Dani says.
“Aw, of course. Happy birthday, baby girl,” Manon whispers into her hair.
Dani blushes. She likes that Manon calls her that. She turns around in her arms, so Manon is spooning her. Manon is slotted in behind her on the couch, her arms wrapped around Dani, and Dani likes this. She likes cuddling with Manon. It normally doesn’t really happen, not like this. Dani likes the feel of her, the warmth of her body, the smoothness of her skin, where they’re pressed together.
__OR: Dani and Manon move in together, and Dani turns 21, and Dani is definitely not gay.
