    That's fine, because there's another strange aspect of hybrid traits. If someone with recessive hybrid genes experiences enough stress or their life is threatened, sometimes they present the way that they were meant to.

    Maybe then, Techno will finally fit right in his body. And his family.

    But surely the kid asleep in his arms can not be what they say.

    Techno has been left on his own for a year, but when he comes across an injured avian in the forest near his home, he must go on a journey to return the prince of the Antarctic Empire to his home. The only problem is—well actually, there’s tons of problems. Humans hate avians, he has no clue where the avians are, Techno’s family has no idea where he’s gone, and more importantly, he has no idea how to take care of a baby.

    The sight that greeted him was equally as breathtaking as it was terrifying.

    Deep blue water surrounded his pod, which had thankfully triggered the detection system and had made his pod use it's floating devices. The colors looked familiar, almost normal. Nothing but vast ocean, no islands, no distant shores. Nothing. It almost seemed like he was just stranded in an ocean on earth, if it weren't for the giant planet he could clearly see in the sky. Either this water planet was an orbiting moon to that large red planet, or that was a very large moon orbiting this planet.

    But that wasn't even the worst of it all. Because a couple miles away, the remains of the large exploded ship sat half submerged in the water, lifeless and silent. Some fires were still burning, now fueled by the new oxygen this planet provides. It stung, seeing it like this. It would have been his only way home, his only way of calling for help. But he doubts that any of the radio systems were still working. No long range communication to other ships or even a space station or two. And the systems of his own pod were fried too.

    He was completely stuck.

    The injured boy glanced away for a moment, lost in thought. His gaze wandered mindlessly through the fields of white buds and green leaves. He scanned his silent judgment throughout Techno’s farm, perhaps he was just searching for any faults in his truth, a hidden trap within his potato fields.

    Gradually, a small smirk, undeterred by Techno’s unentertained expression, danced across the blond boy’s features.

    “Do you always answer in only three words?” His voice was playful and devious as they escaped through those abnormally sharp fangs of his.

    “Perhaps I do.”

    Techno didn’t think he was asking for much when all he wished for was a nice and peaceful retirement, but unfortunately it was. All he did was bandage up a dying child he found in the woods and apparently that was all that it took for him to become a magnet for this enduring but destruction addicted vampire teenager, his charismatic yet somewhat deranged vampire brother, and his benevolent albeit nonchalantly murderous vampire father.

    Luckily for Techno, the majority of his childhood was spent in extremely high stress scenarios, malnourished and never feeling safe. Which means that all of his omega nonsense is so stunted that he practically isn't even one! He is set on keeping everyone under that impression, no matter what it takes.

    Not to brag, but Techno's a pretty great mechanic. And not just because his human hands have multiple dexterousness fingers. His skills have gotten him pretty far in the universe. Further than most humans can ever make it.

    Almost literally, since humans can't survive faster than light travel.

    With the near infinity of space, that little biological fact limits the mobility of their entire species. But, as humans tend to do, they have spent all their experience points on brains over functional bodies. Thus, a solution was created: cryopods.

    Cryosleep makes it possible for Techno to travel through space, and his skills make it actually worthwhile for a ship's crew to even bother with him. It's going pretty well, all things considered. If only his body realized how critical it was not to get oh-so sleepy and achy after being frozen alive and thawed out. It really throws a wrench in his productivity.

    Techno is a human on a mixed species spaceship with Phil, Wilbur, and Tommy. All four crew members contend with the effects of popsicle-ification. Thawing procedure is most optimal with shared body heat, copious fur petting, and sugary offerings.

    “Who the fuck are you?” Tommy asked, his voice slicing through the silence. The man cocked his head to the side, mirroring the crow which had been watching Tommy moments ago.

    “Oh, how inconsiderate of me. You can call me Phil,” he announced, his voice smooth and warm. Tommy didn’t trust it. Something about Phil unsettled him. “And you?”

    With an almost nonchalant air, Phil reached into what appeared to be a worn leather pouch, pulling out a cup filled with hot, steaming liquid. After placing the cup on the table, Phil repeated the action, producing two plates stacked with sandwiches. He slid one to Tommy, who was watching the casual display of magic with wide eyes.

    “I... um, Tommy,” he managed to utter.

    Phil’s smile widened, but a predatory glint in his eyes turned his friendly grin into something sharper, more cunning. “Tommy...” He practically purred the name, a note of possessiveness creeping into his tone.
