Yasmin is a half elven Rivaini Seeker of Truth. As Cassandra Pentaghast’s wayward former apprentice, she was excommunicated from the order by Lord Seeker Van Reeves after the Blight in part because of the hardline she took with Templars who wielded their authority to abuse the mages in their ‘care’.
A decade later, she’s come to the conclave to exact her vengeance on the final templars to escape her after they Massacred her friends during the Annulment of the Dairsmuid Circle of Magi.

Love, Marriage, & A Baby Carriage
Anders had always been good with children. Even when he was younger, before the Circle, the other village kids had adored him. Sometimes he would see his mother watch him with sad eyes as he carried around whichever smaller kid had requested it. He hadn’t understood until after the last time he would see her that she was sad he was an only child, that she hadn’t been able to give him siblings to dote on or his father the gaggle of children he wanted.
Even so he hadn't considered having children of his own until he accidentally had seven all at once.
Or; Anders and Fenris do things backwards; have kids and then fall in love (though their kids would argue they were always in love, just too dense to realize it)Series

There, they find themselves embroiled in hard mercenary work, family dysfunction, and the Chantry's high-tech and overbearing systems of surveillance and oppression built upon the backs of generations of Circle slave labor.

The same Thedas we know but set in an AU where the Chantry has forced rapid technological advancements over a few generations by using their Circles to research, develop, and manufacture magitechnology, including those used to further mage oppression and aid them in their grasp for economic and political power. This is a highly canon divergent rewrite of Dragon Age 2, though expect similar themes and a similar tone. The world is bleak but the Kirlwall Crew is making it through together!

When Hawke arrives at Skyhold, the Inquisitor very quickly comes to suspect maybe, just MAYBE, Varric’s been lying about much more than simply not knowing where she’s been all along. Like…everything. Literally every. Single. Thing. Which is fine, really – storytellers are known for bending the truth after all – but the more people she talks to, the stranger the picture becomes, leaving her to wonder…why?
Why has he been lying about Hawke this whole time? Why was Hawke so quick to come to Skyhold after hiding herself away for so long? And more to the point, after the tragedy that befell Haven, why are the two of them acting so suspiciously cheerful?
Though she can’t be sure yet where Hawke the character ends and Hawke the person begins, the Inquisitor is perfectly aware of one thing: They’ve just accepted a dangerous stranger into their midst, and as their de facto leader, it’s up to her to try and figure out Hawke’s motivation for suddenly deciding to lend a hand. …and to listen in on as much gossip as possible, obviously.
