10 months after the events of Thunderbolts.
For the most part, the world has stayed peaceful. Other than Sam Wilson being complicated over who got to be the real Avengers, everything had stayed primarily fine. All the of Thunderbolts were peacefully living in the tower. Becoming closer than before, life was good. Or at least, as good as it could be with John struggling with raging PTSD. How was one supposed to interact with others when you can barely get out of bed in the morning?
This is primarily a John Walker fic because he's my baby, I'm sorry if the writing isn't great because this is my first real Fanfiction. If I mess up anything about canon, please tell me!

John felt the painful sob start somewhere deep in his chest. It clawed its way up his throat until he choked on it, hot tears he hadn’t dared let form yet slipping down his cheeks. They sat there for a long moment, Olivia holding onto him and John not daring to wrap an arm around her in case he held too hard. He didn’t know what to say. Nothing felt like enough.
“I love you,” she whispered, pressing a kiss to the side of his head and running a thumb along his cheek. “Will you let me take you to the hospital?”
