Summary
Tony Stark is the mother that everyone didn't ask for, but got anyway. And it all started with the end of the New York incident. Tony knew that there was something wrong with Loki; from the broken body he walked on Earth with to the lip sewing incident that he was now in.
Now, Tony finds himself facing off a god who is more broken than ever, pregnant and is confused on his relationship with a certain green-eyed god. But he promised that he would protect Loki from everything.

Months into their voyage on the Statesman, Thor is forced to come to the realization that he has not verbally conveyed his love for his brother as often or as recently as he had previously believed.
Determining to do something about this himself, Thor ventures to share the sentiment with Loki as often as possible, and at any given point in time, to outcomes of varying enthusiasm (and/or outright disgust).

His migraine chooses that moment to grow even worse, the excruciating pound picking up like the raucous beat of a thousand drums. A pained whimper slips out before he can stop it.
“Oh, Loki.” The bed dips as Thor eases down onto it. A large, warm hand comes to rest gently upon Loki’s forehead, and he lacks the will to shove it off. “Banner was right, you are ill. Why did you not tell me?”
Loki cracks open an eye. “Evidently, I h-have people who will do that for me.”

Summary
An Infinity War au, of sorts. Following the events of Thanos' attack on the Statesman, and Heimdall subsequently sending himself, Thor, Bruce, and Loki to Midgard, the small group is stuck in a sort of limbo, waiting for an indication as to what the correct next step might be -- if there is one at all.
Luckily, Bruce manages to get into contact with an old friend, who promises their help within the week.
Not so luckily, Thor determines that, given Loki's still slowly improving health (as well as his continued inability to speak), it might be best to keep the development from his brother, for the time being.
This, unsurprisingly, does not work out in anyone's favor.
