    The newest member of the ragtag group of heroes throughout the ages literally falls from the sky in front of them.

    It doesn't take long for them to realize that he's not a fighter like the rest of them, at least not anymore. And that's ignoring the fact that he's a shy nervous wreck who clearly isn't used to being around nine other heroes with questionable social skills.

    (AU where Wild is the last to join the Chain and he's not a swordsman like everyone else, but is instead a sorcerer because his chronic pain meant he couldn't fight with an actual sword anymore. He's got a lot of healing to go through with that, and the Chain will help him because he's one of them, even if a sorcerer Link wasn't what they were expecting.)

    Hylia is seen as this wonderful kind goddess who would never do anything evil.

    But this is reality and not a kind universe, where she truly only cares about two things, curing her endless boredom and playing her games, yet there are very few beings who are aware of the goddess's true nature, especially considering not even the great Deku tree remembers the truth.

    Being an ancient god of death Malanya has always been fully aware of Hylia's true nature ever since their first meeting, so for the sake of his naive sisters and the safety of his defenseless eldritch children, the horse god cannot afford to be kind any longer nor can he forget the truth no matter how many times Hylia tries to erase his memories.

    The newly arrived chain of past heroes are not aware of Hylia's games nor her interferences in their lives, hopefully, the group learns quickly that in this era of forests and malice that this Hyrule has very little to hide as hiding the truth always leads to death here.

    Malanya grimly wonders what game Hylia is playing now or how her game is going to affect the two children under his care and protection.

    Sudden movement from Warriors’ end of the group made them all startle, turning in unison to the commotion. On his feet, leaning heavily on the captain’s shoulders, stood Legend – bearing down overtop them with a crazed gaze. “I don’t care what it takes." He breathed. "I am going to get inside this town.”

    The thrill of a challenge, warm and tingly, raced up Wild’s spine. He’d been waiting for someone to take the bait. “Tell you what,” He began. “–If anyone does make it in, I’ll pay for anything you want to buy in town.”

    Wind’s eyes sparkled. “Oh you are so on.”

    Excerpt from chapter 6:
    “Sky doesn’t resent Hylia often, but he can’t help but resent Her, just a little, for this. Tearing them all from their homes, their families and friends, for no clear reason? Forcing them through portals if they don’t go through on their own, all for what? Sky may have gone through that first portal willingly, even perhaps eagerly, but the others didn’t.”

    Look idk what to tell you. It’s a Wild and Sky centric fic focusing on my take on Hylia bringing the chain together to face The Horrors. Give it a shot, you might like it, but I warn you, it won’t have a happy end—not in this part of series, at least.
