After a horrible pandemic, caused by the Midi-chlorian virus that used to be trapped on the Russian permafrost, but was freed by the melting caused by global warming, devastated the world, killing all women and half the men, the future looked grim, but the same virus that took also gave. Half the surviving men mutated, developing wombs and becoming fertile; those men are now called omegas.
In this post-apocalyptic world, the survivors are trying to return to normalcy after decimation seemed inevitable. Normalcy, however, brings back the problems of the old world.
A very human tale of romance in an imperfect world, between imperfect people.

Hard to do that when you're tasked with escaping an endless forest with a possibly fatal (and really weird) illness in the air.
(Or, more descriptive, Four either got tired of the contestants (Not very realistic) or simply wanted a vacation. He set up a challenge, didn't really plan it out well.
