Summary
I do not own Sonic the Hedgehog, the Sonic IDW comics characters or any other character or place mentioned herein. SEGA does. This is simply for fun.
Doctor Eggman decides to test the Metal virus, not on Windmill village, but the area around Tails' workshop. This changes a lot more than you would expect. Including, but not limited to: Tangle finally admits to herself she's in love with a certain sniper (but it takes her quite a long time to admit such XD), Mimic is slowly infected with *gasp* morals, Belle finds her place and Shadow finds happiness.
Tangle, Jewel and Whisper are aged up because when I started reading T&W and IDW I thought the girls were in their twenties.

While he caresses me in hopes of comforting me, my sobs of pain turn into something hopeful, tears of relief mixed in with the suffering I’ve kept in for so long. Life is horrible, but right here, in my parental friend’s arms, it doesn’t seem so bad anymore. Perhaps there’s some hope that death isn’t the answer. Perhaps today isn’t my day, nor will it be tomorrow. Even through the crying, my heavy breathing slowly stabilizes, replaced by a soft, almost inaudible purr. I’m not alone.
