No guarantee I'm finishing the sequel, nor guarantee of any other mini projects, but, fuck it, I started the thing, so I might as well show the basic proof of concept.

Summary
Stanley freezes. The Narrator does too. For a moment no one lifts a finger or says anything.
Stanley reaches out his hand slowly and then the voice comes back to life.
“Stanley, I think we ought to get on with the Story, yes? Whatever point you were trying to make, I think you've maahhhhh-”A delighted smile spreads across Stanley's face and he repeats the action, his hand gliding over the Office's wallpaper as it elicits another breathy gasp from the speakers.

Summary
Stanley doesn’t know what compels him to do it, but he reaches out. The space is small enough that all he has to do to touch the Narrator is lift his arm. His hand falls on the other’s shoulder, and he tries to apologize with a small smile, waiting patiently as the Narrator sputters and cuts himself off.
Fascinatingly, his eyes flash from red to pink to orange, all in the span of a second, before settling into a soft yellow. He lets out a sigh, shaking his head. “This is why I shouldn’t entertain these– these silly notions you have. Really, I never should have let you– Erm, Stanley?”
The Narrator cuts himself off as Stanley grabs him by the face, not roughly, but not quite gently, either. He stares deep into the Narrator’s eyes with wonder, mouth curving upwards.
Or: Stanley finds out that the Narrator's eyes change with his emotions, and it leads him to discover many things about him that were previously hidden.

With a rather undignified yelp, the Narrator jumps back in alarm. He hadn’t even touched him yet! Stanley blinks at him, soft brows crinkling downward as he observes the man before him, clutching his artificial heart from the surprise.
Tentative hands lift as Stanley angles his head to the side, wide eyes studying him, much like the Narrator was just doing. Carefully, he signs, '...Narrator?'
