Summary
Being kicked out of Team Natsu hurt Lucy more then she would ever admit. Especially when she had to watch them day after day, sharp pains pulling at her chest when Natsu pulls Lisanna closer to him. That was supposed to be her.
Fed up with being treated like trash, Lucy runs from Fairytail, joined by Levy, where they are offered an opportunity to get stronger and come back to show Fairtail what they're missing out on. With nothing else to keep them going, they agree, what they didn't agree to was being joined by the two Sabertooth Dragon Slayers who also appear to be running from something.
Despite their mutual goal of getting stronger and returning for revenge the four can't seem to get along together for the life of them. Fighting at every chance until they don't have a choice but to get along, and maybe, something more then friendship is found along the way. As they make their own path in the world, a place where those who have been tossed out came find safety, and they prove to the world that they are not to be messed with.
