Summary
Vox Machina and allies return to Whitestone, reeling and shaken after the events in the Sunken Tomb. While Vex seems to be handling her brush with death quite well, all things considered, Percival's guilt is eating him alive. Vax still doesn't know that it was his fault. The man that he has loved for so long, has no idea that he killed his sister... Percy never dared to hope that his love would be returned, which was why he had always kept it to himself. But he can't keep this from Vax. He has to tell him the truth, and just hope that their friendship can survive... he can't bear to lose Vax from his life...

After a conversation with Drake Thunderbrand, few members of Vox Machina head to Kraghammer to help clear out a nest of kruthik, nasty creatures that have gotten into the mines. But the creatures' burrowing has damaged the structural integrity of some of the tunnels, and the battle brings some of them to their breaking point. While fleeing potential cave-ins, Percy and Vax tumble into the dark. When they manage to come to their senses, they soon find that they have fallen into the hatchery of the kruthik hive... Vax is hopelessly pinned, and the swarm of hungry hatchlings are closing in... Percy stands between them, prepared to protect Vax'ildan, whatever the cost. And the price, is excruciating...

Summary
During their travels in the Feywild, even Garmelie’s assistance can’t stop Vox Machina from wandering into trouble. It is, after all, what they do best. This time, however, they may have run into something more powerful than even they can face down – in the form of a Wild Hunt, eager for sport and thirsty for blood.
This does not go well for Vox Machina, generally. It goes even worse for Percy, specifically.
Alone, cut off from his party, and being hunted by creatures more dangerous even than the Chroma Conclave, it will take everything Percy has just to survive.

Katara’s not buying it. “You really need to lie down.”
“Just—just for a few minutes,” he concedes, and maybe he should’ve put up more of a fight, because judging by Katara’s face, actually agreeing to rest might be the most worrying sign he could’ve given her.
