he wakes up, and immediately he can tell that something has changed. he feels different, wrong. he looks around at white walls, gray furniture, white accents, the gray floor. something about this room is setting off alarms in his mind, but he doesn't know what.
the bed is wonderful, but it feels different from anything he's ever felt before. he sinks into the mattress, the blanket is thick, the pillow is fluffy, but the bed doesn't feel soft, or warm, or comfortable in any recognizable way. this too makes the back of his mind scream in panic.
