Summary
This is literally just a chat fic for BioShock. The three main protagonists, + their three companions, + three other important to the plot characters (Tenenbaum for 1, Eleanor for 2, Daisy for Infinite, because I couldn't leave them out) are all in a group chat. They all work for the same company, BioShock Inc. Science still happens, there is fighting, not everyone is happy, but it's all meant to be silly, at the end of the day.
This is purely self-indulgent, anyone who doesn't have my particular set of brainworms about this series probably won't enjoy it, or will find it weird. Yes, this does have plot.
I wrote this mostly because I was bored and depressed & thinking about silly chat-based interactions is often easier than actually sitting down and writing. I'm not giving up on my TF2 fics, I'm just trying to survive a bout of depression & writer's block that has been kicking my arse since December.

Title says it all, but also: no, this is not t4t HeavyMedic. I love me some t4t but I have also never seen a story about the cis partner of a trans person finding shared gender euphoria, & I find that cis people finding comfort in their own identities through seeing their trans friends & partners enjoy their transitions (which is something I hear so often from allies, yet almost never hear discussed in queer spaces) is genuinely so awesome, & I want to explore that! Hence trans Medic with cis Heavy who starts feeling more comfortable in his own masculinity through his lovingly insane doktor.

He makes a questioning noise, silently asking a question and House answers, “Just making sure you’re breathing, Wombat.”
House stays seated, rolling his cane between his palms. He tries to think of a response, but nothing comes. Eventually, House stands, heavily leaning on the cane, but before he moves away a hand reaches down and ruffles his long shaggy hair. Then not even a moment later a second blanket drops on top of him from Wilson. He blinks a few times and then he lets sleep claim him.
Or Five Times that House and Chase have a father-son moment and One time Chase calls House his dad

Underneath the ridiculousness — the head nudges, the belly offerings, the fetches — there was a careful negotiation. House used the doglike things to get contact; Wilson, once in contact, discovered how easy it was to offer it. Neither of them called it what it was, or the work it did on the invisible seams between them. House never said he liked being petted because it made him feel less hollow; Wilson never said he enjoyed being needed because it made him feel closer to being human. They kept terms like that unstated and let the small, domestic gestures speak for them instead.
or, Wilson is a vampire and House is a werewolf, gay stuff happens
