There was a beat of silence, the four wings folded back behind him before the man spoke again. This time he sounded almost relieved if not doubtful

The Antarctic Empire rests on the brink of revolution. Famine tears across the land, leaving death and destruction in its wake. Facing war for the first time in over a century, the Empire's might begins to collapse in the face of a threat from within. And the youngest prince has been taken hostage.
Not that any of this matters terribly much to Dream, who’s mostly occupied with hiding from the government. Combine that with trying to keep Tommy alive, the surprisingly-not-dead teenager he found in a mass grave, and Dream is far too busy to worry about civil wars or missing princes.
(In which Dream is an immortal with a grudge against the Antarctic Empire, Tommy poorly attempts to keep and succeeds at keeping his identity a secret, and Techno is going to rescue his little brother from the evil necromancer even if it kills him.)
