Summary
A chosen one. She alone will wield the strength & skill to fight the vampires, demons, & the forces of darkness; to stop the spread of their evil & the swell of their number. She is the Slayer. That's Katara. She's been fighting demons since her freshman year of high school. Katara has her friends, her brother, her watcher, her trusty vampire with a soul boyfriend to help her. But in the end, it's always just her alone standing between the town of Sunnydale and the mouth of Hell.
That is - until Katara temporarily dies causing a new slayer to be called. A girl with a checkered past & a taste for violence, who understands Katara in ways no one else ever has. But as more & more of Azula's horrifying past - the death of her mother & her brother's transformation into a soulless monster - the nightmarish abuse she faced from her father - comes to light, it becomes clear that there's very little standing between Azula & the darkness she's supposed to be warding off.
Between an evil mayor & a god wanting to open a portal to a dimension of evil, a mysterious key & a sister Azula never asked to take care of, the challenges facing the chosen two never seem to end.
