Summary
The Hyrulian royal family passes down power from mother to daughter, a bloodline that has gone unbroken for millennia. In the rare instance a son was born to the family they would not be recognized as a prince. Instead they would be fostered by a royal knight and his family. This was seen as a far more kind outcome than the old practice of infanticide practiced before the era of the Hero of Legend.
When Hyrule falls to the Calamity so to die the old ways, the old laws, the old religion. The people of this new Hyrule see no reason to cling to archaic traditions when the one that helped stop the Calamity and save Hyrule would have been scorned. Instead they embrace him and support him.
Efforts to rebuild have begun and the Chain show up to add Wild to their group.

This series explores the events just after the sealing of Calamity Ganon at the end of Breath of the Wild and should lead into the events of the following game, Tears of the Kingdom. Chapter 2: The Last Hylian - While Ganondorf worked diligently to prepare his little Hylian trophy to the best form he could be, his minions and monster servants were busy enacting his commands. Now it's time to give Link his debut as his personal whore and show him everything that has been going on while he was busy enjoying a bath and being pampered.
Chapter 3: A Fight for Power - Link hits his breaking point, and decides to fight back against the bastard who killed his people. But when Link realizes how little power he has anymore, he discovers that he might have to fight a little differently from now on if he hopes to do any good for the remaining citizens of Hyrule.

From the moment Link woke in the Shrine of Resurrection, one thing was clear: he had a destiny to fulfill. Now, the Calamity has fallen, and the Hero has finally reunited with his beloved Goddess. But while Link has gone great lengths to recall his past lives and grapple with the Curse of Demise, Zelda has only just begun.Post-BOTW. This will be long. It would probably be helpful for you to read "When the Wind Whispers" to understand the lore I've woven behind the Champion's Ballad. Important to note a lot of this is based on the reincarnation interpretation of the LoZ timeline.
5/16/20: Having appeased Vah Naboris and Vah Ruta, and announced Zelda's return to the crowds in Castle Town, Link and Zelda now venture to Eldin to walk in Daruk's footsteps.
5/2023: I'm reinvigorated by TOTK and this will be worked on again!
