Post 5.3. The Warrior of Light decides to retire to Ishgard for a while to take to some much-needed rest. While there, she rekindles her bonds with House Fortemps, and unwittingly forges a romance with Aymeric de Borel. Alisaie is not terribly pleased with this development. Possibly just a long-winded love letter to Heavensward. Definitely an excuse to have my Warrior of Light shag Ser Aymeric. Lots and lots of quiet familial bonding in-between.
This was the wonderful part about Ishgard. For all its failings, it managed to feel like home. As if there were value in simply her, the person, not the Warrior of Light. It was why she chose to rest here, and why she thought she might actually manage to relax for once.

Summary
Victoré de Dzemael is the Warrior of Light - second son of House Dzemael, elder brother to Grinnaux de Dzemael, the fourth seat of Thordan's Knights Twelve. In the Singularity Reactor at the depths of Azys Lla, Grinnaux was assumed to perish by his brother's sword. Victoré finds him many years later, at the cusp of the Final Days, barely alive in Garlemald.
A "The Heavens' Ward survived Azys Lla, scattered to the corners of the world, and are still tempered to Thordan" AU with my Warrior of Light. Developed with several friends and deals with a lot of canon divergence even before the end of patch 3.0 content!

Aureia Malathar may have made a name for herself in Ishgard, but her deeds come with a hefty personal toll. Despite her victories at the Grand Melee she has never felt more unsure of herself. Her relationship with Thancred—the person she thought knew her the best—is strained, yet she cannot abandon him. Aymeric is falling for her harder with each passing day, yet she cannot bring herself to accept it.
All may be fair in love and war, but at least war is predictable. Love, on the other hand…
