Assigned a huge responsibility as prince of the kingdom, Roger was found to have an outcast behavior unlike most everyone in his royal standing. Though taught royalty at a young age by his parents, the only way for Roger to feel something fresh and different was to act out from his annoyance.Little did he know, fate was going to draw the blond to a suspecting, curly-haired merchant carrying a variety of items and goods, that seemed to come from nowhere.
Brian there was something being kept hidden, and it couldn't have been anything Roger already knew.

Bowie dropped by and we did some work in the studio.
The writing and recording of 'Under Pressure' on a whim, which Roger has strong feelings about, in which John completely forgets his killer bassline, there isn't a guitar solo to be found, and what gets shown off isn't what was expected to be.
(Or, the realisation that 'Under Pressure', while a very recognisable song in its own way, does not sound like a typical piece by Queen)

Their opinions vehemently voiced, with more sure to follow, surprise surprise, both Roger and Brian turn - practically in unison - to look at me. Do they want to know what my thoughts are about all of this? Honestly?
(Or, Queen are on hiatus after the Hot Space album and tour, as well as having done The Works, and two members come to a third wanting him to listen to a song. A song from their lead singer's solo album.)

"Oh for Christ's sake!" Roger exploded. "We're allowed to have bloody fucking different opinions, Brian!" He breathes heavily, opening and closing his fists. "Your perfect isn't my perfect! And honestly," the drummer seethes, ripping his sunglasses off of his face and hurling them across the recording room, happening to aim at Freddie, who ducked-- "Honestly, is anything going to be perfect for you?!"
Brian's written songs. Roger's written songs. So have John and Freddie. It's a dance to figure out which goes where on an album, and if they're good enough to. And each of the band members has his own artistic vision that he is protective of.
Sometimes, a trifle too protective.
(Or, Brian's perfectionist tendencies threaten to get the better of him in the studio and Roger in particular isn't happy about it.)

It was, to Gwil, until the worst nightmare he never knew he had happened in front of his eyes, and he couldn't do anything about it. It was suffocating - one second earlier, he was still on the recreated Live aid stage, practicing for the greatest rock concert of all time, and one second later, there was blood everywhere. And he saw with his own eyes, every single moment of it.
