Made me make ‘em all the time when her mama was gone.” He began to scoop and pour things into the bowl, “She used to like to help me. Always caught her sneaking extra sugar into the mix, though.”
The socked feet shuffled further into view.
“I haven’t made pancakes in a long time. More of a coffee for breakfast type of fella.” Edwin continued, “I might be a bit rusty at it. Sure could use some help.”
