He hadn’t realized when he’d started staring off into the distance like some fantasizing schoolgirl, and when that distance had just become Eddie Munson while he gave some teenager their soft serve. The guy was unashamedly staring, not even giving the teen his full attention. How unprofessional, he thought, like slinging ice cream was a job to take pride in. Eddie had spent the last two weeks in hospital, recovering from his near fatal injuries. During that time his name had been cleared and it had been made abundantly clear to the people of Hawkins that Eddie was also a victim, that anyone who went after him would find themselves behind bars. Hopper's return had certainly helped in that respect.
Today Eddie was finally going home.
