Set between s1 and s2, this is a one-shot following the Paladin's as they embark on a mission to rescue Pidge, the heart of their team, from Galran imprisonment. Along the way they will face their own fears of losing one that has become like a sibling to them, and be forced to reckon with the hard truths of being at war. As they get closer to their goal, they realize that they might not be able to make it out of this ordeal the same as they were before.-

He was not supposed to be tied to train tracks, gagged with some fucking clasp the cut into his cheeks to stay, bare skin scraping against the rough ground. He was not supposed to be a sacrifice for their fucking god, and most fucking importantly, he shouldn't be scared.
But he is, and he can't change any of it.

He doesn’t know who’s screaming, even if it does sound familiar. It’s just a tactic they use to try and get him to break; to give them answers. They’ve been using it for weeks, now, maybe months, he doesn’t know how long he’s been in here, but he wants to get out soon, even if no one is coming for him, and as much as t hurts Lance to let that poor, poor person suffer (suffer much, much more than he has; All they’ve done to Lance is rough him up a little. Whenever they visit the other prisoner, the screams start up almost right away), he can’t break. Not when it could mean the lives of billions of people.

Marco knows fighting in a war will change someone. He knows that being away from your family for five years will make reconnecting with them harder.
But he just can't understand Lance's behavior beyond that.
Why does he talk to a comatose person every night?
Why does he cry to this person, wishing they were there with him instead of Lance's family?
What does this comatose, nameless person have over Lance's family?
Marco was so sure that Lance had finally come back, returned to his family after fighting a war in space. Now, though, Marco is convinced that the Lance that returned isn't the Lance Marco wanted to come back.

The paladins dispersed, Hunk and Pidge immediately disappeared. Lance went to go follow them, but he noticed how Keith hovered around Shiro, unsure what to do. Lance glanced at the yellow and green paladins before he glanced back at Keith. As much as Lance wanted to wrinkle his nose at the thought of inviting Keith, he really looked like he could use a distraction. So with that, Lance swallowed his pride and walked up to them.
“Hey Keith, I was gonna go check out their carnival games, wanna come?” Lance offered. Keith hesitantly glanced at him before looking at Shiro, as if asking for permission.
Keith and Shiro exchanged a glance before Shiro nudged him with his shoulder. “Go ahead. I’ll be fine,” Shiro said.
Keith gave one last look at Shiro before reluctantly agreeing. “Okay.”Or, after freeing an alien planet, Lance and Keith go hang out, but apparently people can't leave the "Galra-paladin thing" alone.

Ever since Pidge revealed she was a girl her team seems to have become a bunch of overprotective, overbearing idiot males and it’s pissing her off. She’s still the same person and more than capable of taking care of herself. But in her determination to prove herself independent she winds up injured. Badly. She can handle it on her own though. She doesn’t need their help.
But hiding her injury has dire consequences and now it’s not just her freedom at stake but her life.
And Lance’s.
The world is falling down literally and figuratively around them and Pidge realizes she can’t save him alone. She needs help. Lance’s help. And as dire as the situation is there’s almost something optimistic about being trapped at the bottom: the only place to go is up.
Now if they can only reach it before time runs out.

The Galactic War has been over for six years, Lance and Keith got married after finally figuring out their desires and emotions, the universe seems to be in a semi-peaceful state, as well as the fact that Lance and Keith both adopted two amazing children. Adam stayed quiet, looking at him with an expression that Shiro couldn't quite place, and didn't want to.Haunted by the past and what could have been, a grieving Shiro attempts to rebuild his life months after the Battle for Earth and years after his ex-fiance Adam's death. However, when a distress signal is received and Voltron answers a call for aid, what was once believed lost is found, and Adam, who was believed to be dead returns to the living, with a young girl by his side, scarred and traumatized. Returning to Earth leaves the group at crossroads, where relationships are forever changed....for good or worse.

Summary
The Blade mission is dangerous but Keith is confident that between himself and Lance, who along with the Red Lion is integral to the success of it, they’ll be fine. However, as the mission progresses Keith is finding it harder and harder to ignore the fact that Lance keeps making himself a human shield and sacrificing his own safety for Keith’s and it's reminding him far too much of his own decision on Naxzela and what he almost did to keep the others safe.
But now that horrific pattern of self-sacrifice has come to a head as Lance is injured protecting Keith. And it's not just a terrible wound: Lance is poisoned and slowly, painfully dying before Keith's eyes. Unlike Naxzela where he could at least do something (even if it would have cost him everything) there's nothing he can do to save Lance. Nothing except hope for a miracle.

“Voltron saved us.” The noble snarls in Keith’s face, “Just because you look like another race, familiar to the Paladins’, does not make you any different. We can see your – ugh, Galra genes.”
They are almost a slap in Keith’s face because the teen looks stricken, mouth open in shock and Lance's blood boils.
[That one where BOM joins Voltron into freeing a planet from the Galra but not every citizen is grateful of having Galra Rebels in their planet. Lance's protective instincs kick in when they aim at Keith.]
