Reagan Ridley thought the Shadow Board would choose her to be the head of the shadowy government organization, Cognito, after the departure of J.R. Instead, they chose her toxic, gaslighting father as the CEO. Distraught and unsure of what to do, she is intrigued when she learns that the puppet president has been killed by an assassin. She then works with her team members to frame someone else as the assassin and find out who the real killers are. Once she meets them, she comes with the idea of getting rid of her dad, so she can gain the trust of the Shadow Board, allowing her to become the CEO in his place.
