Dean owns his own business and, after witnessing what happened to his dad when his mom died, he wasn’t in any kind of rush to find his own True Mate. He focuses on growing his business and caring for what family he has left.
Castiel works with the police department and doesn’t have time to try and find his True Mate. He catches killers for a living and can’t imagine bringing someone into his life. He’s on his own and has been for much of his life. He’s fine.
Sometimes fate has other plans.
When the two men meet at a crime scene, sparks fly (literally). The case Castiel is on keeps the men together and eventually, feelings can’t be ignored any longer.

Summary
Castiel had spent the last seven years living in his isolated cabin in the woods. It's where he chose to be, with his magic bound and his only visitor his childhood friend Charlie who refused to stop worrying about him.
He wasn't happy there, but it was where he deserved to be, and that wouldn't change, no matter what Charlie said.
But then one day a wolf collapsed in his garden, injured and scarred and covered in blood, and Castiel knew he couldn't just leave it to die. When he came back from a walk the next day to find a human in his kitchen, with the same scars and injuries as the wolf, and nowhere else to go, Castiel realised what must have happened, and despite knowing better, he allowed the familiar to stay with him.

Sam's done his best not to show it, but he's actually really excited Dean is coming out to live with him in California. He's met awesome people and can't wait to bring Dean into their lives.
Like Cas! Cas knows just how thrilled Sam is, because Cas is the one who has to put up with Sam going "I think this is the longest we've ever been apart" and "don't tell him I rambled to you like this, he hates 'chick flick moments'." Maybe, though, Sam should have paid more attention to Castiel's question of "You really love him, don't you?" instead of simply replying, "Well, yeah."
Dean, on the other hand, has been hearing all about this Cas guy. All the time. And though Sammy insists it's a bromance, Dean's certain there's something more going on.
Sam, for his part, has no idea why his attempts to set up his brother and his best friend are going so poorly.

Grift, Scam , Fraud, Theft, Hustle, Trick, Con, Bamboozle. All terms would describe how the Alpha/Omega Winchester brothers bring in money. But Dean’s least favorite adjective to describe how they make a living is has to be LIE. Although he does a bit of that to pressure his target into handing over large sums of money under false pretenses.
The brothers move to Kansas City to start what should be a fairly simple Honey Trap on a trust fund alpha with deep pockets.
Pretty quickly Dean finds the alpha is more to him than just a simple marc. He’s smart, caring, a little dorky and absolutely gorgeous. All of this makes it hard for Dean to continue his lie.

If not, then know that this story is inspired by/includes minor elements from: Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew," Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera...and a couple of other folklores. There's going to be rivalry (love and sibling), political intrigue, friendship, smut and fluff, perfect and dysfunctional families, and hopefully lots of fun fight scenes!Hiatus
