Summary
For a timeless void, it sure was taking a long time for Rouge to get to Shadow’s half of the domain. And it sure didn't help that there wasn't any wind here, nothing to coast on, nothing that let her wings take a break from their current constant flapping. Still, when she finally returned to her friend's side of the void, she didn't expect to meet a memory.

“So, you think you can fix him?”
“I can give it a go,” She mumbled. It’d be rude not to, given they had to find her in the middle of buckwild nowhere, “I’ve helped Tails do it before. I can do it again. I’m just surprised you didn’t go to him first!”
“Contextual information; the tiny feeble fox was not in his usual workshop.” Omega steamed with, frustration? It was hard to tell. He motioned with his smoking, wire exposed arms, “Unreliable! Unreliable and deceitful! He claimed to always be available to fix me! He was incorrect!”

What if Maria Robotnik was turned into the Ultimate Lifeform? But not in Shadow's timeline...
Shadow the Hedgehog crushed Black Doom, and yet the Black Arms have returned with new colors and a new master. This master seems to be none other than Maria Robotnik. Yet she now calls herself "Ghost" and is clad in a spooky vantablack outfit, complete with all the abilities of the Ultimate Lifeform and all the cold, ruthless aggression of a Black Arms warrior. Like a curse from the universe itself, Shadow is forced to fight the one he loves.
Even stranger: the real Maria has appeared as well, created by the Phantom Ruby. Kind and graceful, unaware of her fate in a future past, she is everything Ghost isn't, and keeps Shadow grounded. But why is this happening, and what is the truth of Ghost's past?
Shadow's past always finds a way to keep dragging itself back into his life!

Summary
In the dark, Naminé crept down to the kitchen and sat with her back against the cabinets, her ankles tucked neatly underneath her.
A strong heart, she thought, clenching a fist against her chest.
She held a hand outstretched, staring at the fingers fanned in front of her face.
No matter how hard she willed it, nothing ever came to be.
---
Naminé's friends offer words of wisdom (or...maybe wisdom-adjacent) as she searches for a keyblade of her own.
