Summary
Prime moves swiftly, with purpose—lifting, shifting, tossing debris aside as though it weighs nothing. His steps are careful but unrelenting, the ground shaking just slightly under each one. The tremor of the rubble vibrates through Starscream and it feels like knives being jabbed into his wires.
Of course Optimus Prime would show up. Of course he'd come for one of his own.
He can't even delegate this to someone else. Optimus Prime is too noble, too compassionate, too honorable to not put his own life on the line for his underlings.
Megatron would laugh at the very notion.

Starscream is left to rust after a failed decepticon mission. Optimus Prime does not let him die.

Or, at least, firmly in the realm of “good enough”.
Day 25: (TFA) Left to Die | Bumblebee: The world crumbled around Bumblebee too quickly for him to block against, rocks reigning down from somewhere high up. When he lifted his helm to defend himself, he was knocked straight off his pedes and hit the ground, hard, as a heavy weight settled down over top of him.

Every frame-type had its own set of instincts, and every Polyhexan, much like Vosian Seekers, had an over-active prey drive and a complex system of dominance rituals. Half of it was learned behavior, brought on by living in a place where hunting cohesively was the key to survival. The other half of it was coding; undeniable, natural, and powerful.
Or, the one where Prowl and Jazz have a cultural miscommunication, and find some deeper understanding of each other and romance along the way.-

Summary

Thundercracker thought he had it rough already, what's with being a war orphan and having to raise two kid brothers on his own while juggling with various tasks as a Decepticon soldier. Well, he's just a Cadet, and not quite of age for even that, but he's still a Decepticon, like his Creators were!
Starscream and Skywarp, little terrors that they are, aren't always making life easy for him, but Thundercracker is determinated to protect and take care of them, no matter what. It's not like any member of their extended family tried to get custody or help them, after all, so he's quite aware they are on their own.
The roughness, sadly, seems to only have started when their supply ship finally run out of luck, and straight into Autobots' path...
