Summary
New this week is filled – as might be unsurprising – with news of the successful arrival of the first colony ship at the life-sustaining Planet LV-777. Old news you might be saying, and why is that kind of current news appearing on a historical site like this one? Some of you likely already know the significance of the star LV-777 is in orbit around; Aeris’s Eye. A quirk of interstellar dust and the strangeness of the universe gives the star a unique green glow, tying in with the mythological Aeris of Midgar.
With everyone excited about the recent successful colony ship reaching its destination, let's take a moment to revisit the myths surrounding the star in question.

Summary
Tension hung in the air when Tifa arrived at the meeting. Nervous, wary glances, newcomers scrutinised. Look-outs wary and tense. The warehouse was near empty, the air cold and the floor slick. And now the horrible possibility this was the wrong place, these were not the people she was looking for. No. These were those like her who wanted to fight back. Small clusters of attendees muttered to each other, attention soon shifting from Tifa.
After waking up in Midgar, Tifa starts getting her life back together - and finds others hate Shinra as much as she does.

Summary
Tifa could not help the groan when her alarm sounded. And waking up so early was her idea. Joints took some effort to get moving and not feel so stiff. Deep fog in her brain; some coffee would help. She stretched with care and slipped out of bed, padding to the bathroom in her slippers. The sky outside was blue, the sun peeking over the horizon. Perfect timing.
Daily routines played out like so many times before. Washing, brushing her teeth. Down to the kitchen, one hand sliding along the banister rail with each step down. A pause at the bottom, frustration at the effects of time on her. A deep breath. Better. She felt better. Not so old anyway. “I feel fine.”
An older Tifa struggles from bed to meet with Cloud.

Summary
Traveling the world was an aspiration at first – once Aeris learned the world was larger and more complex than the series of metal and glass rooms Hojo insisted on keeping her within. There was a vastness outside of the Shinra building in the form of Midgar around it (after learning what a city was in relation to her tiny world). There was a greater vastness beyond in the form of the Planet (and further out still; the solar system, the galaxy, the universe), the notion of what the name meant now clearer. Youth was the obstacle at first and Aeris contented her curiosity with books and magazines, television programs and films to catch glimpses and impressions of the larger world.
A tragedy gives Aeris the chance to see the world.

Summary
Four years after Meteorfall, Rufus Shinra seemed to feel he had more or less successfully glossed over a lot of problematic decisions by his company. Shinra was still nowhere close to its old potential, held in check firmly by the presence of the more popular WRO. Few did not see the next announcement from Shinra as anything more than a naked PR move. Culture was coming back to the world – and Shinra wanted to held it arrive. There was a swiftly ignored press release about some new creative director the company had hired, but the first production was impossible to dismiss so easily. Loveless was being re-staged.
Shinra's new creative director is on a mission to keep on bringing back Loveless until it consumes the whole of pop-culture; Reno is not taking this lying down.

Summary
Tifa rolled onto her other side, putting Cloud and his past behind her. But here too was another reminder of his actions – and potentially almost as strange. Marlene lay cradled in Barret’s arms, still clutching the flower Cloud gave her. The one pinned to his uniform, near forgotten when he walked into the Seventh Heaven. From what Barret related of the mission, he had acquired it somewhere between the destruction of Mako Reactor 1 and meeting up with Avalanche on the train back to the slums.
Sleeping in the basement of the Seventh Heaven; on one side of Tifa is the conundrum of Cloud and a memory of events different to hers. On the other is a whole other puzzle: how and why (and by who) did Cloud gain the flower he gave Marlene?

Summary
Elena soon discovered a large amount of the Turk’s reputation was a combination of deliberate obfuscation, convenient assumptions and lies Reno told. Certainly it would otherwise be impossible to square a strange perception the Turks knew everything and everyone with the long, long list of questions and oddities peppering recent events and her elevation to the group’s ranks. No one could confirm Palmer’s borderline hysterical and near impossible account. No one knew how Avalanche had slipped their cells and crashed out of the city at speed. The group’s destination after would be easy enough to pin down from checking maps, but a lesser consideration right now.
To her immense surprise, Elena is offered a job in the Turks.

Summary
Fictional families never seemed to bear much relevance to Marlene’s. The ones on TV always seemed so rigid, so defined. So small. Marlene’s family grew by the year. Mostly. A few painful times it contracted to leave her and others in distress. This too was another part of her life as her father knew it.
A Marlene-eye view of Avalanche and how they relate to one another.

Summary
“This time! This time I will succeed!” Not clear how many of the first few times his voice, the same – or at least broadly similar – yell of triumph made her heart skip a beat and Aeris near jump out of her skin. A petrifying predicament for a ten year old. However, aged twelve, and having put up with this for years, that specific yell could only mean one thing. It was Tuesday.
Not that it mattered. Aeris counted down from thirty and took three steps to her left. A rush of air and a familiar sword plunged into the ground three steps to her right.
A story of significant strangers over the course of Aeris's life;
The man who helped her escape the Shinra building;
The woman who taught her the language of Wutai;
The vampire and his minion who kept Sector Five monster-free;
The man who showed her how to survive in the wilderness;
The man who showed her how to get to the Upper plate;
The woman who taught her the language of a remote mountain town;
The store-manager inexplicably eager to overlook her shop-lifting;
The man who tried to give her a sword;
The woman who loved to talk and simply won't leave her alone -

Summary
The first production of Summer Nights Tifa experienced was an amateur (though not amateurish) rendition on the town hall stage back in Nibelheim. Back when her Mom was still alive. Mom confided it was one of her favorite shows, certain (correctly) Tifa would enjoy the experience. More than a few aspects of the play - the implications, double-meanings and so on - flew straight over Tifa’s head for years. In some ways it was shocking to look back and reflect on how much of an adult nature the production had.
The one slim positive to Sephiroth attacking Tifa at the Nibelheim reactor and her transportation there via unexplained and unknown vectors, is the unexpected opportunity to watch her favourite musical live on stage.

Summary
"In my house - in Sector Five, I mean, in Midgar-" Yuffie stopped breathing. "In the kitchen there's some flowerpots Aeris painted when she was ten. Every year she'd start growing flowers on the window sill and when they got big enough she'd take them to the church." Elmyra stared into Yuffie's eyes. "I had to leave them behind. I... I want to carry on the tradition. There should be some seeds there too." She took a breath. “Can you help me?”

Summary
Aeris woke before midnight, the room stuffy. She threw back her windows but the heat did not dissipate fast enough. She pulled her pajamas off, shivering in the colder night air. Breathing grew heavier-
She dropped into a crouch, stretching her legs out behind her, fingers clawing at the floor.
The chill faded, a new warmth enveloping her, the colour leeching out of the world.
New scents in the air; underneath the Mako. People. Food.
Nocturnal wanderings were nothing new for Aeris; but the dreams? Something else entirely.

Summary
The sheet music Tifa had, the records and radio stations her father preferred were at least fifty years old if not more. Different to the music of her peers, who strained to hear distant radio stations never intended for so isolated a place as Nibelheim. She liked the music, or was happy when it was on, or was simply used to it. Her father would dismiss the modern rubbish her friends would seek out or the town shop would occasionally play. Nothing seemingly wrong with it – the little Tifa heard. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower than her father’s collection. But distinctly other. Infectious too; the newer music boasted tunes easily taking up home in her head.
The soundtrack to Tifa's life.

Summary
There was a point when Aeris changed for want of a better word. Cloud had little enough other explanation for it. She was always pretty, a beautiful woman seemingly immune to the grinding pressures of the city, who could pick her way amongst the grime without a second thought. But outside she was something else.
Cloud watches as Aeris moves from the wasteland to grassland - and changes.

Summary
Somewhere along the line, a black-haired SOLDIER received orders to keep an eye on her. This was new and concerning. For the most part if was Tseng or Rude. For reasons never clear, it seemed paramount she return to Shinra of her own free will – hence Tseng’s irregular visits and attempts to appeal to her better judgement.
Aeris is used to the Turks keeping an eye on her. The black-haired SOLDIER is something new.
