They never would have expected it. Wild wouldn't have.
...
The air around them changed. Wild felt goosebumps rise all along his arms and his hair raising. This was a sign, he snapped his head up to the night sky.
Blood red.
But… They weren't even in his Hyrule. How could a blood moon be happening!? Wild got to his feet before he could even think about it.
He could feel the presence of evil that he came to know every full moon.

Unexpectedly, Wild has to live out a second adventure. The remaining heroes attempt to come to terms with the sudden loss. Their reunion is not as happy as it should be, at first.

Summary
Afterwards, Twilight had admitted to Sky that he didn’t see it happen. The goatherd and Wind had been fending off a pack of Wolfos all the way across the battlefield. They had only heard the startled cries, felt the earth rumble with Hyrule’s thunder, smelt the burning ozone in the air.
Sky hadn’t been as lucky. He had been sitting right next to Vio when it happened. The Color had been protecting him, after all.Vio is badly injured in battle.

Dear Zelda, Sky wrote. Today, we are visiting a fortune-teller in the Hero of Legend’s Hyrule. The kid says that this fortune-teller is ‘super super legit’ and ‘the good kind of illegal’ which is always comforting to hear from the mouth of a twelve-year-old. Warriors keeps trying to fish for more information (he is quite stressed) but all his hooks fly over Legend’s head. Are children immune to interrogation tactics? I think I fell asleep during that lecture in school—
In which Hyrule is an old man, Time is emo, Wild is wolfkin, and Sky suffers. Welcome to the age swap.

“You know,” Four said, from behind Sky. “You’re incredibly patient.”
Sky turned around. Four was studying him, his eyes narrowed into considering slits.
“Thanks?” he said, for lack of a better thing to say.
“I’ll find your limits one day,” Four promised. Then he stepped back and away, finally freeing Sky from his walking prison.
That wasn’t ominous at all.
> the HEIGHT of comedy. Four is such a menace to take advantage of the sheer disaster zone that is he wild twilight time trio by trapping sky within then with malicious glee. Emo time! Adult hyrule! Older brother wind indulging baby legend (oh my god i died seeing baby legend) and baby wild being just as himself as you'd think he is.
Being twilight and sky is eternal suffering.
This fic temporarily fixed my depression.

Summary
Whenever the urge strikes him, he can dive off of the island and land onto his soulmate’s back, racing across the skies to wherever his heart desires. More often than not, that desire guides him to glide next to his serpentine companion. Its eyes are a striking purple and blue, glossing over him like he is not there as it surveys the vastness of blue in its path. He keeps a measured distance between himself and the creature – despite his fascination, he knows nothing about how it behaves – as he soars next to its head. It makes his flights less lonely.
Every once in a while, Zelda will join him. She will fly on the other side of the dragon’s head, hidden from his view by the mane of golden strands. Hours are spent like this, together, with their friend, basking in the quiet comfort.
When he is seventeen, that all changes. Zelda falls. Link is the goddess’ chosen agent. Fi leads him on a mission.

Nobody noticed how long Sky had been gone until it was time for lunch and he still hadn’t returned from washing the dishes from breakfast, so it was a bit of a surprise when Legend asked, “has anybody seen Sky?” and Wild didn’t have an answer, because they completely forgot about that while stirring the stew.
Time frowned. “Wasn’t he off washing the dishes from earlier?”
Legend’s eyes widened a little. “Didn’t we send him to do that over three hours ago?”Or,
