Phil returned to the alleyway later that day, a loaf of bread in his hand. It was still in the wrap he’d bought it in; he didn’t want the kid to think he’d messed with it. His wings were tucked close by his back, and he arrived at the alleyway in no time at all.
This time, however, there was another kid— this one near the entrance, looking almost bored.
“Stop,” the kid said, holding one arm out toward Phil in a stop motion. His maroon eyes locked on Phil, and something protective flashed over his expression before it returned to its deadpan.

He watched it happen.
The moment the steel was thrusted forward was when Wilbur’s head whipped around, right at the right time to see the blade sink into an unguarded chest, running through with a slight scraping sound as it grazed across a rib. The body fell backward with a thud, a gasp accompanying the sound the blade made as it hit the dirt.
Wilbur screamed, his heart drumming and his head skipping layers and layers of knowledge that were embedded in his head to keep him alive. He reached desperately forward, not even processing the distance that lay between him and the fallen soldier, just trying to get his momentum running, trying to move forward.
He didn’t get there. Arms grabbed his side and pulled him back, stubbornly maintaining the weight that he tried to use to move forward, keeping his heels digging into the dirt. He couldn’t even look back to try and figure out who was holding him back, his vision was zoned on one thing and one thing alone.

Theseus, his namesake, would be ashamed to share such a powerful name with Tommy.
He is no hero, he's pitiful.His body begins to give up on him, it's a slow process, the pain is enough to make him black out and yet all he thinks is how he regrets his worthless existence.
If only he could have done things a little differently.
Theseus is framed and thought to have attempted to poison Dream, the next in line for the throne. Abandoned by his family, who all think he’s guilty, Tommy is left to rot in the dungeons.
With a heavy heart he takes his own life only to wake up a year before his death.
He will not go down without a fight, not this time.
