Summary
Despite very much not wanting to, Raph opened his eyes. He prepared to yell at whoever it was that was bothering him at this hour. "Someone better be dying." He complained, even more pissed off when he saw the orange bandana through blurry vision. Seriously? It was too late for this. "The fuck are you doing awake at this hour Mike-..."
The words died on his tongue when he saw the tears dripping down his cheeks. Now that he was closer, the older could hear the shudders in his breath.
His expression went from annoyed to concerned so fast, any other day it would have been funny. "Mikey-?"
His brother didn't answer. Instead, without facing him, he lifted the blankets, and got underneath them- head an all, before he let the blanket smother him.
"Woah, hey..." Raph tried to sit up, but stopped when he felt Mikey's arms around his stomach, face nuzzling against his plastron.
...Which felt... hot.
Sickly-hot.

Summary
The turtles, the ones that he’d purchased from the pet store, they seem to have been spilt with the same stuff that turned him into this.
They’re no bigger than perhaps what a six month old human baby would be. They’re rolling around on their larger than normal shells, babbling away, stuffing toes and fingers into gummy mouths, looking towards him for answers.
And he wishes so he could just leave them be. Set them in a sewer someplace, out of sight out of mind, he’s been cursed on top of this inhumane form. He has to fend for these creatures now, or they’ll have nobody else to fend for them.
He picks up the courage to go scour through a back alley of old dumpsters one night, when the air is calm and the streets are still. He leaves the turtles be, rolling around an old shoebox, he goes and looks for anything that could be considered food.
And when he makes the scurried journey home, with old noodles that have half gone hard, and the crusts off of stale pizza slices, does a tiny, evil little thought cross his mind:
Let them be gone by the time I return.

Summary
Mikey always liked this part of their patrols, when they would stay out just long enough to catch a glimpse of those vibrant colors. His eyes would be glued to the skyline where they should’ve been glued to the roof in front of them as they leaped across buildings. He would stumble and laugh when he jumped wrong while distracted, let his brothers gripe and moan about how ninja don’t watch sunrises, but his eyes would always drift back to that gorgeous view.
Not tonight, though. As much as he would love to watch the horizon, his head was killing him, and it took all of his concentration just to keep his legs moving as he and his brothers sprinted from building to building.
Or: Mikey gets sick.

When Mikey woke up for the tenth time that day, he looked around. He barely had any strentgh to stay up at all, his arms burned and he felt so lightheaded he was on the verge of unconciousness once again, but he just had to see. To be sure.
His arms were wrapped around someone.
Okay. Leo was in the room. Okay. One brother down. Two more to go.
He looked up. Raph was beside them, also asleep and leaning against the bed. While normally Mikey would want to check for a heartbeat, he could hear the oldest snore, so that was enough for now. Just one more.
Mikey scanned the room, about to pass out again the moment he spotted the third-
Donnie wasn't in the room.
Why wasn't Donnie in the room?
WHERE IS DONNIE?!

Even during his recovery, all Mikey could worry about was his brothers.
