"Hello?" Tifa stirred. The bed was lumpy and misshapen beneath her. Cool to the touch too. Must remember not to stop eating cookies in bed; the crumbs were irritating against her bare-skin. "Hello?" The voice called again. Her eyelids were like lead, and despite the discomfort of her position it was hard to move. Her back tensed against some unknown obstruction; she rolled to one side, seeking a softer patch of mattress. "You moved!" Was that Jessie? Her voice sounded different today. The light was bright against her eyelids - must have forgotten to close the curtains after she got home. From the reactor? Wait. Tifa forced her eyes open and groaned. Every part of her hurt. The sunlight was piercing bright in her eyes and her head ached. A brown and pink blur hovered nearby. "Are you okay?" An unfamiliar voice. Tifa blinked hard, focusing on the blur. A girl. A pretty girl with green eyes and a pink ribbon in her hair.
The Air Buster explosion knocks Tifa down into a church in Sector Five.

Summary
The train shifted away from Tifa, upsetting Aeris’s balance ahead. She grabbed for the train beside her; she let go looking panicked as the train slid away from her and fell back. Another crane wobbled from the impact and slowly toppled. Some other distant crash sounded and the crane jolted forward. Right towards them. No time to think; Tifa grabbed Cloud’s waist and with a pivot moved him out of danger, the pointed end of the crane punching a deep groove into the concrete.

Somewhere along the line, a black-haired SOLDIER received orders to keep an eye on her. This was new and concerning. For the most part it was Tseng or Rude keeping an eye on her. For reasons never clear, it seemed paramount she return to Shinra of her own free will – hence Tseng’s irregular visits and attempts to appeal to her better judgement.

Summary
It was never easy to tell what was on his mind. Rufus often kept a calm composure and spoke little unless he found it necessary. Most things he wanted could be communicated through gestures of the hand, or simple phrases like “no” or “yes”. His honeyed words were reserved for longer discussion, often masking his true intention with careful wording in trying to suede others to his side, enemy or otherwise. There was a reason his reputation managed to look clean, even when an heir to a company like Shinra, which operated on a similar basis. False truths masked to lure prey in— yes, that was the way Rufus spoke. With his Turks, they always knew what he wanted, and if they didn’t, they’d find out sooner or later. There was no reason for longer discussion until a plan needed to be made, and even then, Tseng was, for the most part, in charge of deciding what move the Turks would make next, so long as it followed the Vice President’s agenda.
When Rufus used his words, there was intention.
