Summary
After the Merge shatters Ninjago into fractured worlds, the ninja are thrown to opposite ends of a realm they barely recognize. Kai crawls out of the Land of Monsters—starved, scarred, and changed. He carries new instincts, for some reason new appendages, and memories he refuses to speak aloud. And worst of all? Creatures from the Land of Monsters are leaking into the new world through cracks in reality… and they seem to be hunting Kai specifically.
Determined to find his family before the monsters do, Kai travels across the broken world while hiding the truth of what he survived. But secrets weigh heavy, especially when the team reunites piece by piece and start noticing the tremors beneath his smile.
