Annabeth's laughing, sweet and loud, as she leans into his shoulder--and Percy thinks everything feels right. He's semi-famous (not that it mattered much to his happiness), and he's archiving sweet precious memories. Just like this. Without thinking, Percy reaches over and grabs the camera off his bedside table while Annabeth's still giggling. She rests her chin on his shoulder as he clicks it on.
He makes sure they're both in view before he says, "Hey," which has Annabeth smirking, and pressing a light kiss to his jaw. Even after two years together, Annabeth still manages to make him blush like she did during their first kiss.
"I think I owe you all an explanation. Besides, me and Wise Girl have some traveling to do, don't we?"
"Yeah," she muses, humoring him, "You know I'd go anywhere with you anyway."
Percy smiles, boyish and wide, and something in his chest flutters like a valley of butterflies. Everything feels good, feels okay. No monsters, no threats. Just him, and the person he loves most in the world.

What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea—except that everything seems very wrong.Percy has a secret. His father has been missing for three days, and his vivid nightmares reveal that he’s in terrible danger. Now his boyfriend doesn’t recognize him, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, he, Jason, and Leo are taken to someplace called Camp Half-Blood.
