Summary
Assorodus, meaning "silvery water".
The Endless were not the first entities to come into existence at the dawn of the cosmos, of everything known. Yes, Father Time and Mother Night were there, but also someone else. Known to the Greeks as Talos, to others the Writer, or even the First Writer, giver of purpose to everything that breathed and sometimes to things that did not. For the sake of many, it would be easier to call this being simply Purpose, with whom Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, came into close connection at the beginning of his reign, for men tend to ponder their purpose in their dreams. In front of each other, they can allow themselves to be open, and most of their secrets shared. Soon the two of the most potent creations started to depend on each other's friendship and eventually, Morpheus caught feelings he shouldn't have.
This is his story through Talos' eyes.

Delight did cross paths with Desire a fair bit, before the Terrible Thing. Surprisingly Desire is more patient with her than they are their other siblings; apart from, of course, Desires’ twin sister, Despair. More than once Delight has wondered about that; how close Desire and Despair were compared to the rest of the siblings; all of them got along, for the most part, aside from Dream and Desire, but even Dream and Death, who were fairly close, didn’t have anything close to the same type of bond Desire and Despair did.
Often, after observing the twins' interactions during their family dinners, Del had noticed that a single shift or a glance from Despair could prevent Desire from going too far with their catty comments, whereas Death's attempts at mediating between Desire and whichever sibling they decided to provoke, usually Dream, often failed. Once, a few decades ago, simply the weight of Despair's hand on their shoulder had prevented Desire from lunging like a predatory cat over the table at Dream, who had, for once, succeeded in shattering Desire’s sense of calm superiority. Delight, in her own naive way, wondered what it must be like to have someone close like that, to be protective of, and be protected by.

Do you know what it is to half your being stripped away? Do you know what it is to lose like this?” They lick their lips like it’s a constant impulse and change the subject. “I loved Despair very much. I miss her more. And I’ll never see her again.”

She shook her head, hard, pushing the bad thoughts away along with that name. It wasn’t hers. Not any more (never had been? but then who was she?) Change. Change. Change. Golden hair turned red and spiky, her gown, too beautiful for her to wear, (she was a mess, all messed up, no more beautiful dresses and hair, no more) shifted into mismatched clothing from different times and places (no idea when from but it didn’t matter, nothing did, right?)
“No more Delight. All cracked and broken like ripples on a pond. Or a smashed mirror. Gone and lost and never the same.” She nodded to herself. This was true, she knew it (How did she know? She didn’t know.) “I’m Delirium.” (But who was that? What was she?)
(It didn’t matter. It’s all that there was now. It was her.)

So, I'm feeling a bit playful.I originally wrote "Worlds of Chaos" as a collection of crossovers putting Loki into the universes of different works, figuring his magic would allow him to cross the different barriers of reality, all while he pined away for Sif (although that didn't keep him from seeking companionship elsewhere). Then I had a couple other fics that went into the same concept. Well, Loki kept popping up, wanting to play with all sorts of new people, and this became a collection. Rather than what I did with "Worlds of Chaos," putting all of them in one fic in different chapters, I'm going to try something a little different and post them individually at this point. That way, if I cross him over into a fandom a reader isn't interested in, nobody feels they need to read it to know what's going on. This might get weird, but, hey, it's Loki. I hope you enjoy the chaos.

They have been having issues among their soulmate pairings for millennium. Delirium decides that she's wants to fix that.
